Video walls is one of the most loved features on Spot. Video walls help view multiple cameras at once but we limit each wall to 9 cameras to preserve the integrity of each video. Rotating video walls gives a customer the ability to view live cameras in larger numbers without affecting the fidelity and integrity of each video grid.
Rotating Video Walls enable the viewing of multiple video walls in series. This feature is nested under "Wall" to optimize your wall viewing experience.
Here’s a summary of all the functions you can do with our rotating video walls to create your own custom monitoring experience to fit your business needs.
Customize the number of walls in rotation
We understand that your camera viewing needs change and your rotational video walls should be equally as adaptable. This is why our rotating video walls feature allows for you to customize the number of video walls in rotation. To create your own rotating video wall set, just click "+" and select "Rotating Video Wall Set."
We automatically generate an alphabetical list of all of your camera walls, so that you readily view your available walls to quickly create your own rotating video walls set. Simply click “Edit” to add or remove video walls as desired.
Customize the order of video walls
Spot is always trying to make software easier and intuitive. After building your customized rotating video wall set, the sequence of your video wall rotation will match the list order of "selected" walls. If you wish to change the rotation order: click "Edit", then click on the wall you wish to relocate, drag it to the desired location, and click "Done" to save.
Customize rotation timing
The default video rotation timer is set to a rate of 10 seconds, but you can choose the best viewing rate that fits your business monitoring needs.
Just click on "Edit" and hover your mouse over the box containing "10" seconds duration on each wall. Toggle arrows should appear, allowing you to click " ^" to add (or "⌄" to subtract) a second at a time to find the best rate of rotation OR manually enter your desired rotation timer rate and click "Done" to save.
Note: The minimum rate for the rotation timer is 10 seconds to account for variable bandwidth and create the smoothest video viewing experience possible.
Flexible viewing order
Need to jump ahead or go back to a specific wall without waiting to cycle through the rotation timer to reach that wall? Simply click the name of wall you would like to view.
