Overview
The appliance has two Ethernet ports on the back of the device. If the first Ethernet connection from the appliance to the camera network doesn't have access to the internet, a second Ethernet connection can be used from the appliance to a different network which will allow the appliance to connect to the internet. This can allow secure access to the camera feeds through the appliance without exposing the cameras to the internet (Check out our Recommended Topologies article for an example of this).
Both Ethernet ports on the appliance are interchangeable. It doesn't matter which port is connected to the camera switch or the internet.
Steps to configure Dual NIC
Setting up the physical connections
Step 1: Connect one of the appliance's Ethernet ports to the camera network with an Ethernet cable.
Step 2: Connect the other appliance Ethernet port to a different network with internet access.

If DHCP is available on both sides of the Spot appliance, no other configuration is necessary. If a static IP needs to be configured on one or both of the interfaces, refer to this article.
